Registration for New Students Siblings of children already enrolled in Nootka Fine Arts will be guaranteed a space in the Kindergarten class. Other children will be entered into the annual lottery draw. Children’s names will be drawn randomly from a box. First names drawn will fill open spaces in the classes. Extra names will be entered, in order, on a wait list. Parents wishing to enroll their children for grades other than Kindergarten should contact the school immediately and have their child’s name placed on the wait list for the appropriate grade. If spaces become available, the principal will contact students on the wait list in order of registration. Nootka Fine Arts gives some priority to children living in Nootka’s catchment area. The number of spaces protected for Nootka catchment area students depends on the grade. For more
