The Nootka Fine Arts Vision

Nootka Fine Arts is designed to nurture productive, creative and responsible citizens. The teachers focus on each of the fine arts in dance, drama, music and visual arts classes, work with the children to combine the arts and then incorporate some aspects of those four disciplines into regular classroom instruction as well.

This educational approach offers children the core values of the creative process: collaboration, cooperation, openness, mutual respect and flexibility.

Once they have become attuned to those core values, the children in this program have the potential to become among the best equipped and most versatile leaders, problem solvers and communicators of their generation.

The students of Nootka Fine Arts are poised to become the ultimate team players – assured, flexible, accountable, reliable – and valuable members of society in whatever fields they pursue: business, technology, the arts, science, medicine, government.
